Camp Wasatch is 5 days and 4 nights for 9 - 11 year olds who are novice or experienced campers and are wanting to develop more independence and skills in the great outdoors. Activities include a sunrise hike to Fifth Water Hot Springs, scrambling and exploring Utah's red rock at Red Ledges Picnic Area, outdoor tent camping, shelter building, topographic map skills, and Leave No Trace outdoor ethics. Integrated throughout the program are segments of our Find Your Path curriculum that introduces the social-emotional skills of developing awareness, making connection, building confidence through skills acquisition, independence, and resilience.

Daily Itinerary

  • Monday: Meet in Salt Lake City and travel one hour to Diamond Fork Campground 10 miles SE of Spanish Fork, Utah.

  • Tuesday: Campsite games and challenges

  • Wednesday: Sunrise hike to hot springs

  • Thursday: Exploring Red Ledges red rock

  • Friday: Pack up, reflection, and return by 3:00 pm

Sample Daily Schedule:

  • 7:00 - 8:00 Camp Care & Self Care - wake up, clean up tent, brush teeth, etc.

  • 8:00 - 9:00 Breakfast and Plan for Day - help with breakfast, clean up

  • 9:00 - 12:00 AM Activity Session - off-site outing (e.g. hike, campsite activity choices, and/or staff-led activities

  • 12:00 - 1:00 Lunch

  • 1:00 - 4:00 PM Activity Session - e.g. logic games, shelter-building, campsite activity choices, and/or staff-led activities

  • 4:00 - 5:00 OYO - On Your Own free choice time; a great time for connecting with others or solo time

  • 5:00 - 6:00 Dinner Prep - campers are able to help prepare and cook dinner

  • 6:00 - 7:00 Dinner

  • 7:00 - 8:00 Evening Program - skits, games, or evening activities

  • 8:00 - 9:00 Camp Care & Self Care - time to bring it down and get ready to turn in

  • 9:00 - 9:30 Quiet time in tents and moving toward lights out.
