Tween Tours
Your “tween” is at a unique and special age. They are ready for new challenges, but still like to have home at arm's length. Tween Tour expeditions are designed to respect a tween's burgeoning maturity and independence with developmentally appropriate physical and social-emotional challenges. The physical activity skills - backpacking, climbing, paddling, biking - are taught with a natural progression over multiple days. Alongside the physical skills are activities created to explore the social-emotional development of making connections, awareness, resilience, and program solving ability. The final piece of the Tween Tour puzzle is the the process of transfer skills and resources that they will take home with them including the continued support of their peers as they return to their school communities.
